Emotions

Humans are simple yet so very complex. Our emotions completely change us from being very simple and reliable beings to these unpredictable beings. Love, lust, hate, anger, fear, happiness, joy, these are things that we express everyday. There is nothing like the arts that help us express this emotions. Even the closest of friends cannot make the connections that a film, a book, or a song can make with a human emotionally.

Emotions, however, should not control humans. For if they let their emotions take control of them then they will make decisions not based on truth.

Humans are explorers, always searching for something to satisfy them. Unfortunately those who want to let their emotions take control are trying to take away this exploration. There are those who set us free, revolutionary leaders as I like to call them. They change the entire world with their work and have the power to make the world right or wrong.

Human behavior is very hard to understand, fortunately there have been advancements in learning and arts that further our understanding on the matter. Regardless of what they think they are, humans can only pray that everything turns good.

Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! There have not been many posts recently due to the Christmas break. However I missed you all very much and I pray that everyone is having a wonderful Christmas. Christmas is a very special time of year that is unfortunately misunderstood.

I am not a religious person but consider myself to be very spiritual. Christmas isn't even about Christianity, it is simply about Jesus Christ a man (whether you believe in him or not) who lived a great life and did many wonderful things for people. I personally believe that he is my savior and God, but even then why not celebrate for the great man who he is and has changed so many lives. So I ask why do some celebrate holidays for bunnies, groundhogs, and old men yet not for Jesus?

I pray that everyone is celebrating the true Christmas if they are celebrating it at all. My Christmas this year will be one that many may consider "boring" and I have not many gifts this year. But I will take it in a way to think, learn, reflect, and talking to God. I pray that all of you have a great holiday season, try and celebrate all the holidays! But most of all since we are on this day, have a Merry Christmas!

This is a poem I wrote when thinking about Christmas just a few minutes ago

"When I Was A Boy" by James Widdicombe

When I was a boy

I could never figure out the truth

Behind this joy.

Toys, fun, no school

Everyone thought these things were cool.

But I knew there was something else.

However, I did not know what.

It was a long time coming but now I realize

That it is Christ who has

Opened my eyes.

So now

The 25th of December is upon us

And we must remember that it is about Jesus.

People forget why this is a special time of year.

They think of gifts and that is true

But do not know which gift.

Christmas

Is about the gift of salvation,

The gift of Christ,

Full of grace.

That is why we have this glorious celebration.

All the children sing and dance

And jump for joy.

Now I have found what I was looking for

When I was a boy.

Writing!

Ever since I could hold a pencil correctly, I remember I always enjoyed writing. When the teacher would ask me to write a sentence I would always write the longest one! All the teachers would say that writing is my greatest talent, they loved when I wrote letters, stories, and poems to them. I started taking writing seriously at the age of 10 when I wrote an autobiography of myself up until that point, I wrote stories of my life and poems that express them as well.

Since then I have grown of course because I have had some failures but I continue to write almost everyday. Yesterday I got my plans ready for my new poetry collection and my new film so I'm going to be writing a lot this week! Writing is one of my greatest passions and I cannot wait to share my work with you and I hope you enjoy reading it.

Thought Of The Day: When one talks with God does he or she merely ask for things and give thanks for what they got. Should prayer not be a real conversation in which the person must actually listen more than they talk? I often do the wrong thing as well but to maintain in this world of joy that God brings, I must have a conversation, I must talk with God. Whatever your faith be, make it personal and not like a book, a set of rules, and a few things you say. Make it a relationship that will last a lifetime and somehow someway you will find what you are looking for.

My Name Is James

Hello friends, family, and MiniJames fans. I have decided that a change must come with my blog in that I must post more often not only about my work as a filmmaker but about myself. Many of you do not know me as James Widdicombe most know me as MiniJames or the Nerd or any other nickname people give me.

My goal is to share my thoughts, poetry, writings, predictions, and life experiences with you. Of course I will also talk about filmmaking but I will also talk about other subjects that I am passionate about such as music.

The Internet is such a great way to communicate not only to those you know but to others who may be interested as well. I have started doing this by social networking sites and YouTube of course but I have yet to fully embrace this multimedia explosion by creating a blog I keep track of.

So without further adue I will introduce myself as James William Widdicombe. Born August 15th of the year 1996. My favorite things in life are film, music, literature, the interactive arts, and history. There are many things that I would like to share with you and I will soon.
